Nothing moves us quite like the death of another human being. Accompanied by a horrific scene to clean, death's sight and odor bring most human activities to a quick and certain stop. The thought of bloodborn pathogens add to each scene's dramatic power to capture the moment.
We clean around the clock to free others from these scenes and the duress created by the lingering affects of violent or unattended deaths.
We remove the source. We clean the death site itself and surrounding areas, and then we clean again. We usually clean the sight itself three times. Sometimes surrounding areas are cleaned as many times.
We remove the source for disposal arrangements with certified bio-waste transporters. In turn, our contact sends the source to Stericycle where appropriate destruction measure are taken.
Remaining waste issues are discussed before-hand, before we begin our cleaning. Beds, including bed frames, mattresses, box springs, pillows, sheets, blankets, carpet, carpet padding, clothing, light fixtures, curtains, window shades, electronics, and furnishings in general.
Our preference is to leave these items for others to remove; however, we will do so if asked and if our costs are covered. Our preference is to leave inventory of personal property to others; we rarely inventory. We do set aside valuables, such as jewelry, money, cameras, pictures, notebooks, and other important valuables.
How do you know that we will not steal from the death scene?
You do not. The only way to ensure security in this area is to have a "responsible party" on-hand during the cleanup.
You may also consider that "time is money" to us and we do not take time to go through personal property, unless specifically asked to do so. You may also consider that our business is cleaning death scenes and that our reputation is our most important asset. Last, there simply is nothing that we can take from the deceased and their family which would somehow, significantly, improve our lot in life.
